No more excuses, it is our turn to impact the world. We can do so much, we just have to believe in ourselves. It’s our turn to fight. It’s our turn to discover. It’s our turn to innovate. It’s our turn to change the world. It is our turn to be great. So, thank you Malala Yousafzai. Thank You Sonia Sotomayor. Thank you Mary Barra. Thank you Hillary Clinton. Thank you Michelle Obama. Thank you Beyonce Knowles. Thank you Sheryl Sandberg. Thank You Janet Yellen. Thank You Mara Brock Akil. Thank you Indra Nooyi. Thank you Oprah Winfrey. Thank you Nancy Pelosi. And thank you to the thousands of women I couldn’t continue to list. Thank you for proving that it can be done! Now…go do it! 2015 is your year to be great!
Life is so beautiful, but sometimes we forget to live it. I have a bad tendency of going through the movements of life, but not enjoying them. Life is too short to neglect the beauty. I don’t want to walk to class, I want to twirl. I don’t want to watch the rain pour, I want to dance in it. I don’t want to speak, I want to impact. And I want to fall head-over-heels, Sam Smith: Latch on to you, Beyoncé and Jay-Z twerking on a random beach….in love with life!
The beat in Partition brings out the sexy in everyone. You immediately want to move in slow motion and flip your hair. This is the year we find our inner sexy. And NO, sexy is not a synonym for naked. LOL Confidence is sexy. Intelligence is sexy. Individuality is sexy. Find AND Embrace your inner sexy!
In 2014 I found my voice. This blog gave me a voice. The Diaries of a Type A Female has helped me share stories, and made me realize that my thoughts can be accepted. Before this blog, I was often told that I was too much. I was told that no one would listen to a ditz with a high-pitched voice. And I was told that no one would listen to a female with strong, sassy views. Well…they were wrong! *snaps in Z formation* Finding your unique voice is empowering. In 2015, I hope that we all find our voice. I hope that no one lets the haters get to them. Be yourself. You were meant to be heard.
