Don’t take this the wrong way, but Amira did not ask for your opinion. *Kanye shrugs* It’s true, I have NEVER asked any individual for their opinion of Beyonce-yet people feel the need to share. You see, I have my own mind. I think my own thoughts. I don’t need to hear your preference to decide what art I like and dislike. So stop. Stop sending me think pieces about why your fav is better. Stop tweeting me side eyes when I mention Queen Bey. I love Beyonce. #thatsit *drops mic into a twirl*
I’ve read a ton of #BoycottBeyonce think pieces, and I’ve got to tell you-some of y’all tried it. I don’t understand why certain people don’t realize that everything in the world isn’t meant for them. When did you become an entitled little shit? And I say this with nothing but brutal Type A love. There are going to be things in this life that are not yours. There are going to be things you can’t relate to. There are going to movements that you may not understand-but will acknowledge. So to the guy who said that Beyonce’s album was “an anti police, racist, hateful feminist movement.” I am ECSTATIC that you don’t get it. Because if you DID get it-I would be worried. So, so, so damn worried.
So I went to the Formation concert last night, and I have never left an event more inspired to dominate! When Beyonce takes the stage, there’s this energy that EVERYONE in the stadium feels. No really, I was in the nosebleeds and I felt it. Her girl power lyrics made me want to leave the concert and IMMEDIATELY get to work.
“You can say what you want, I’m the shit”-Beyonce. I love it when people own their greatness. *whispers Type A fairy dust into your ear* Stop downplaying your greatness to make others comfortable! #stopthat You DESERVE to be proud of yourself. Don’t let the insecurity of others dictate your self-love. You’re better than that!
Beyoncé has been slaying the game for nearly 2 decades.*waits for your mouth to drop* Wait. Maybe I need to say that again for the haters in the back: Queen Bey has been slaying these streets for over 17 years. She’s not a newbie. You don’t last in this industry if you’re basic! Every single album has been AMAZING. Do you know how difficult it is to constantly produce content-let alone great content? When you rock the game for 20 years-then we can talk. But until then, grab yourself a glass of Lemonade and sip it honey. It’s sweet, ain’t it? *sips tea*
“If you’re proud of where you came from, say I slay. If you know who you are, say I slay!” That’s how Beyonce opened up her concert last night. So much life and self-love inspiration was given. The truth is, I lost myself for a bit in New York. I tried to fit in to a mold that was not true to my heart. I tried to silence myself, and transform into a SOHO chick that I was far from being. I thought that was what it took to survive there. And that was far from the truth. Everyone just wanted me to be my organic self. And it took me a moment to get back to my Type A Female, Twirling on them haters, boss ass biyatch self . But when I found her, it was BLISS. So thank you YONCE, I love that you love supporting who you really are. I love that you rep Houston. I love that you haven't lost your southwest H-town, semi-country accent. I love that you have so much pride in your heritage. Because you've reminded me to respect and honor mine. #putrespekonmyname
I'm going to be honest, if you've even challenged Beyonce in my presence-I think you're a hater. Let me explain, people say things like:
"-she can't really sing
-she doesn't write her own music
-she can't even dance."
And ALL of the above are hating ass comments. To me, if you criticize someone who is RUNNING the world, then you're a hater. You can either step up and beat her, or support her. Hating isn't a pretty shade on anyone! And here's a little advice: You will NEVER see a hater doing better than you. So stop talking, and step your game up. Stop comparing your favs to Beyonce, because she's YOUR fav's fav. #theseareallfact
