We all need that one friend who actually knows what they’re talking about. You know, the girl who is filled with random facts that seem absolutely useless until that day that you really need to know what the average resting heart rate of an Alaskan Whale is. Lol I have a friend who is like real-life brilliant. Now let me be clear, WE ALL NEED A BRILLIANT FRIEND. Because one day, you’re going to do something really, really stupid…so stupid that Google can’t solve your problem, and that is when you call “The Smart One”. She’s loyal and she won’t stop trying until she has solved your problem…and it’ll be legal! Lol #inspectorgadgetismyhero
*Beyonce hair flips and twirls on to the throne* We all need that friend who wants to takeover the world. That girl who embodies that “imma boss” mentality. Now finding this friend is a little tricky because her attempts at world domination may come off as a little intimidating; but trust me she’s just passionate. You need this friend because she not only believes in herself, she believes in you! You can feed off of her Type A mentality, and she will never let you settle for anything less than your absolute best. Befriend a Boss, Become a Boss! *snaps in Z formation*
We all have friends that come off as mean! *Kanye shrugs* Lol one of my best friends is brutally honest, she just tells you just how it is! The funny things is that people always think she’s joking. *whispers to you* She’s not! Lol So this one day we were walking across campus, we passed someone she wasn’t to fond of. The person said hello to me, I returned the greeting….and “the honest when unnecessary one” said words that are too rated R to repeat on my blog! Lol I was shocked! But we all need a friend that won’t always be polite, but can always be trusted. Let’s be honest…if that girl still wearing colored contacts had real friends that wouldn’t still be happening.
Every group of girlfriends has a mother figure. What would Rachel be without Monica, where would Toni be without Joan? We all need that friend who is super sweet and nurturing, the kind of friend you call in tears because you did the thing they warned you not to do a week earlier. I have two close friends that fall under this category. One is my spirit twin and the other offers a little spiritual guidance from time to time. The best part about “The Mother Not Always Theresa” is that she’s not a normal mom, she’s a cool mom! #meangirls She can be caring and still throw down at the happiest hours of them all with the best of them! *sips margarita*
*scream* Wooooo lol *and twirls on a table* “The Life of the Party” is a great friend to have! She’s always down to grab drinks and dance all night…and we all need that from time to time. I have one friend that I don’t see very often(,) but everytime we hang out it’s legendary story worthy. Both times we traveled to Austin(,) we gypsy-lifed it; meaning that we literally had nowhere to stay, But it didn’t matter! Every night was an adventure and booze-filled forever memory. So whether you’re dealing with bad grades or the backlash of bad decisions, dance it out with “The Life of the Party”
I ride for my girrrrrlll yea! *snaps in Z formation* When it comes to a guy, I kinda deny the idea of a true ride or die existing. Like where are we riding to? And why do I have to die? #questionsthatneedsanswers Lol but true friendship sometimes breaks that rule, as long as it’s legal! I have a best friend who is the true definition of a ride or die! She will defend you till the very end, and then curse you out for the stupid mistake you made. Lol We all need that friend that genuinely wants you, can trust and genuinely wants you to constantly win. Find a true Ride or Die…and don’t ever let her go!
I’m going to say this in the simplest way possible. We all need a friend willing to spray paint an exes car and drop a snickers bar in his gas tank. I’m not saying she has to do it, I’m just saying she has to be willing to do it! #youneverknow *Kanye shrugs* Lol so in high school I had a group of friends, lets call the old us “the unfriendly black hotties”, we were super sweet though. Anyways, two of my friends didn’t believe what a guy had told them. So they decided to do a drive by. They got in a jeep, put the seats all the way back, and drove by his house realy slowly. Luckily, his car was outside his story checked out! Lol we need a friend that feeds into our moments of insanity…
Opposites attract. And this is true in friendships as well. I love having friends who are the complete opposite of me. Sometimes we need someone who doesn’t share the beliefs that we have to spark us. We need to be challenged, and a good friend on the opposite side of the tracks can do just that. The trick is to find a friend that respects your differences and allows you to be who you are with no judgement.
One of the greatest things about being in our early 20’s is the amount of change we’ve dealt with lately. We’ve gone from high school to college, and from college to the real world. And much like our dreams and surroundings, our friends are constantly changing. BUT a soul sister is a sister for life. You talked every other day at one point in life, and then the calls came in less and less. And the updates came in less and less. And the random trips and visits stopped happening. But with a soul sister that’s ok. You don’t have to talk every day. You don’t have to know the latest details on their lives. You don’t have to be there physically because you know that she is one phone call away and you would both drop everything going on to save/help the other. Friends may come and go, but she’ll be your soul sister for life.
