I’m the type of person who likes to experiment with my lips. Unfortunately all MAC everything is not in my price range, so I found a new way to get through life. First, coat your lips with white lip/eyeliner, if you want a vibrant pigment, and a brown liner for a darker undertone.Next, with a brush, apply your desired shade of eye-shadow. Make sure it is not too thick because it can get uncomfortable. Other than that, go crazy! Ombré if you want.
If you live in Texas, or any hot state, you understand what the struggle is. You take the time to beat your face to the Gods then the heat comes and washes it away with sweat. Here’s how to beat the heat and save your face. Begin with a clear face. Always wash your face before applying your makeup. Shake up your bottle of milk of magnesia then, with a cotton ball, apply a thin layer and let it dry. Apply makeup as usual.
Metallic tattoos are the new black. They’re a simple and creative way to accessorize. The only downfall is they are not easy to find, the good ones at least. If they are the markups are ridiculous! There are some places that sell them cheap, like wholesale stores and A’gaci. I encourage you to become an artist and create your own unique designs with these simple steps. First, clean the area you wish to bless with your art. Proceed to bless said area with metallic liquid liner of any color. I suggest creating stencils if your hands are not the steadiest. If you trust yourself, go ahead with the freestyle! Make sure the design is flat and it dries WELL. You do not want it to smudge and have your heart drop. Get a powder bush and lightly dust it with setting powder, baby powder will suffice. Finally spray your design with setting spray, let it dry and you’re ready to show off your new ink!
My nail lady SLAYS but I don’t want to pay $40-55 every two weeks, though with her it’s worth it. Sometimes I just want to paint my nails but that lasts all of 3 days at the most. Washing dishes isn’t even an option when I use regular polish. GELOUS Advanced Nail Coat does the trick for this shellac hack. Start with a coat of GELOUS and let it dry. Follow it with a coat of your nail color choice. Let that dry. Repeat these two steps three times. End this process with a layer of the top coat. Right now I’m really into matte. All mate everything. Let your hands dry and enjoy your nails for about 2 weeks!
Toners tend to be expensive like most beauty products. Apple cider vinegar mixed with water is an amazing alternative. I apply it with a cotton ball after I wash my face. It’s a very simple process.
It’s summer and the heat will sweat for everything from your makeup to your perfume. Vaseline will have you smelling like your favorite fragrance hours longer than before. Rub a little Vaseline on the areas of impact. Do not overdo it or you’ll be extra greasy for no reason. Simply spray the desired scent and flaunt!
The Texas sun does real life damage to my face and for years I suffered from annoying acne. I’ve tried everything from the lightweights, Neutrogena, to the heavy stuff like Proactiv. When I was introduced to Noxzema my whole life changed. I saw results within a couple of days for only $6! All you have to do is coat your face as thick as you prefer. You can do this with a full face of makeup, dirty, wet, whatever. That’s the beauty! Instantly you can feel it attacking the dirt in your pores. Leave it on overnight, for an hour, 15 minutes. Again WHATEVER! Wash it off thoroughly. Depending on how long you let it marinate, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! The longer you leave it in, the more moisture your skin absorbs. This is NOT a substitute for washing your face. It is a miracle but not to that extent.
I can’t end this without giving you an eyebrow hack. The original has to be on fleek as well. If you are a brave soul and would rather the fate of your eyebrows be in your own hands, this is for you! I’ve tried this once and it went very well. I don’t get my eyebrows done but sometimes I need a cleanup. If you can’t get to your brow lady here are a couple of steps that will save your life.
Start by caramelizing 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Do not stir! Just swirl the pan from time to time.
Once the sugar is caramelized, mix in 1 cup of honey and ½ cup of lemon juice.
Stir until it is the consistency of pancake batter. Add water if it is too thick.
Remove the pan from the fire and let it cool.
Now for your brows!
Brush and shape the as desired. You have to make sure you don’t catch want hair.
Apply hot wax, with plastic knife, to the hairs you wish to remove. If you mess up go ahead and wash it off and begin again.
With a small piece of cloth, I cut up an old t-shirt, press against the wax and smooth it out.
Let the wax cool completely before you do the deed.
Quickly pull off the cloth in the direction of your hairs. Wax bumps are not cute.
Wipe your brows down with a damp, warm cloth and embrace perfection!
